The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal service organization dedicated to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Formed in 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut by Father Michael J. McGivney, whose cause for sainthood is being reviewed by the Vatican, the Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal service organization in the world. With nearly 2 million members around the globe, the Knights of Columbus has been called the "strong right arm of the church" by St. John Paul II for the order's support and charitable outreach. The Knights of Columbus has also provided economic security to its members and their families through life insurance, annuity, and long-term care programs.
The TCU Knights of Columbus Council was formed in 2018 by a group of Knights on campus who sought to put their faith in action through charitable outreach, brotherhood, and faith formation. Today the council has grown to over 20 members and continually strives to better serve the TCU and Fort Worth communities.
